The Double B Rodeo Team is a new organization in Western Kentucky designed to provide rodeo information to the public. Some of the things that offered will be Videos, Library, Instructors, Meetings, Rodeo Practices and Fundraiser's along with many other exciting opportunities. The team will also try to make horses and equipment available to those who do not have them.
They have already had several youths express interest in this and hope many more will attend their first meeting on June 19,2006 at the Nortonville City Hall. Some items on the agenda will be the plans for a fundraiser for the Nortonville Bull Ride. Due to a lack of funds this year the event which was held the past two years at the Nortonville Ball Park has been canceled. The Double B Rodeo Team hopes to raise enough money to bring this event back to Nortonville.
There will be a rodeo clinic held in October. The clinic will be limited to five people at one time. Participants will learn about Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Roping and Goat Tying.
