CBR Finals -Day Two Results

I decided to add this for fans of various riders who may be wondering how they did when they came up to bat against some of the best bucking bulls in the world at the CBR World Championship in Las Vegas.So here goes.
In round one Ronny Kitchens started it off with an 85 point ride aboard the Robertson/Wilson bull Bad Whiskey.He didn't get the momentum going though as the next two Robertson bulls blanked their riders.Mercury Rising beat Tag Elliott while Ranger dusted Cody White.PRCA 2004 World Champion Dustin Elliott tried to get it going again as he made a great ride aboard Robertson's Dirty Sanchez for 88 to take the lead.Then it was the bulls again as Montigo Bay got the best of Cooper Kanngieeser and Calvin Chad Castillo.Hugo Pedrero kept his 71 points on Tennessee which was a good move as he made it into the short go on two head and ended up being one of only two riders to score on three head.Hugo finished third in the event and second in the average.Dave Samsel was unable to keep it going as he bucked off of Pappy Jack.
In round two the only qualified ride belonged to Ardie Maier aboard the BS bull Chicken Hawk for 89.5.R/W's White Diamond got Pistol Robinson and the Robertson/Wilson/Southwick bull Valentine bucked off Billy Robinson.Wes Bruce's Apache Warrior beat Derald Riche while his Raptor beat Sam Smith and Dire Straits beat JC Bean.Meanwhile the B/G bull Jarhead blanked D J Shields.
In round three Jessie Hill's bulls gave out one ride out of three.Ikon blanked Danny Ted McDowell and Shadow Water beat Bonner Bolton. Wesley Silcox scored 85 aboard Big Sexy.Have to like that name and it sure makes me think of ...Oops,best behave.Lufkin Ranch and Rodeo's On The Edge gave up 86 points as Shawn Coleman made a strong ride and Bryan Richardson rode Spanky for a bonus as he scored 90.5 on a great ride.LRR's Crooked Eddie beat Travis Sellers.Glen Southwick's Spotted Dog might have blanked Layne McCasland but GS's Desert Child gave up a strong 87.5 ride to Jarrod Craig.
In round four Justin Richard looked good aboard GS's Full Throttle for 87 but Rich Bumbaca's Hooker Jack blanked Zack Oakes as did his Auger to Howdy Cloud. Robbie Herrington's Cool Whip gave up an 83.5 ride to Justin Hermanson while Steve Woolsey got the momentum going again with a great bonus earning 90 point ride aboard David Bailey's Tar Baby.Zeb Lanham carried it on making a great ride for 92 points aboard Bailey's great bull Super Cool.The American War heroes Organization had several bonus awards to happily give out to riders tonight.And the last rider in the round was reigning PRCA World Champion BJ Schumacher who rode Bailey's Smokin Gun for 84.5.
The momentum continued in round five as nine riders made qualified rides.Tate Stratton rode Mike Johnson's Hijack for 88 while Jay Dunford must have been singing" Jose Cuervo ,You Are A Friend Of Mine" as he scored 87 on the MJ bull.Clayton Williams did his dad Terry proud as he scored 88.5 aboard MJ's Cat Daddy.Next up was average winner Kolt Miller who scored 86 aboard MJ's Legally Blonde-another great bull. Jerry Nelson's Tastes Like Fear blanked Chad Couch but Marcus Michaelis scored 86.5 aboard Frontier's The Rock. Meanwhile McKennon Wimberley scored 87 onboard Frontier's Whiskey Nights.Boy its easy to see how that name came about.Lots of those on the various tours.Hey Jerry ,how about naming one Beer Bust? To go with Whiskey Nights! Jerry's Pistol Pete dusted Dusty Higgins while Flash got the best of Jake Littlefield.Kenny Westrope scored 87 aboard Woodstock while Danell Tipton scored 81 aboard Scott Burris's Coffee Bean and Ryan McConnell scored 79 aboard Frontier's Trapper. MB's Cowtown blanked Tye Odden while Hawkeye beat Logan Knibbe and Ranger blanked Brian Curtis. The top of the order of finish in the long go was as follows:
