Edgard Oliveira Suspended

The PBR announced the 12 month suspension of Edgard Oliveira today .Last Friday in Nampa Oliveira was disqualified for taking too long in the chute.He reacted very badly and upon climbing out shoved his shoulder into back judge Cody Custer.To prevent injuries and stress to the bulls the PBR has set a rule which limits the time a rider can take getting ready in the chute.This is at the discretion of the judges . If the bull is acting up too much and that makes the rider take too long that is not considered the riders fault.If it is the rider simply taking too long in adjusting his position then the judge may disqualify him.
The board met to decide Oliveira's fate because of the unsportsmanlike attitude he took.You never hit or shove a judge.Cody Custer abstained from voting because he was involved .The rest of the board made a unanimous decision to suspend Oliveira.
